Smokey Burns (real name: David Lankford) began his Erie career at WRIE in 1974.
Lankford has worked in Davenport, IA, at KSTT,
mornings at WMGK in Philadelphia, WMGC in Dallas,
and WAIV in Jacksonville before heading to St. Louis,
where he hosted mornings on WIL and WLOU.
Currently, David is working part-time at KEZK in St. Louis while awaiting a suitable full time position.
Lankford currently lives in St. Louis, Missouri.
